WAEPA Wins Two 2025 MarCom Awards, Recognizing Creative Marketing Campaigns
WAEPA’s Direct Marketing and Out-of-Home Marketing Efforts receive “Gold” recognition.
Falls Church, VA (October 2025) — WAEPA (Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies, Inc.) is proud to announce that it has received two Gold MarCom Awards, recognizing excellence in marketing and communications.
The honors were awarded for two of WAEPA’s recent marketing initiatives: a direct marketing campaign targeting former Civilian Federal Employees and an out-of-home awareness campaign designed to strengthen the organization’s connection with the Federal workforce.
Former Civilian Federal Employees Direct Marketing Campaign
Since 1943, WAEPA has provided Civilian Federal Employees with exclusive life insurance products. In 2022, the organization expanded its membership eligibility to include former Federal employees.
All current and former Civilian Federal Employees are eligible to apply for WAEPA’s exclusive membership, regardless of how long, or how long ago, they were in Federal service.
WAEPA produced a multi-touchpoint direct marketing campaign for this expanded audience, consisting of both email and direct mail marketing. The campaign was recognized in the Advertising/Marketing category with a Gold award.

Unwavering Coverage Out-of-Home Campaign
WAEPA’s out-of-home campaign “Unwavering Coverage” was launched in early 2025 during a period of heightened job uncertainty for the Federal workforce. The initiative sought to build brand awareness and offer reassurance to both current and former Federal employees, as well as those transitioning out of the government.
The campaign was implemented across the DC, Virginia, and Maryland region and included high-impact formats such as Metro station dominations, bus wraps, and billboards to ensure maximum visibility.
The campaign was also recognized by the MarCom Awards in the Advertising/Marketing category with a Gold award.
“This has been a year of uncertainty for the Federal workforce. With a longstanding mission of serving Feds, we knew it was crucial to reinforce our brand position and our support of Federal service. This out-of-home campaign allowed us to quite literally show up for Feds in their daily lives. Earning an award for this campaign reaffirms the importance of WAEPA’s unwavering commitment to our mission,” said Stacy Outlaw, WAEPA’s Chief Marketing Officer.
