If you’re less than age 60, you may apply for up to $1.5 million of group life insurance for yourself. The maximum amount of available coverage begins reducing at age 60 and beyond. Eligible dependent children may be insured for up to $25,000 depending on the level of dependent spouse coverage selected. Dependent spouse coverage is limited to no more than 50% of the member’s coverage for a maximum of $500,000.
