Falls Church, VA., June 15, 2018

Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies (WAEPA) has named technology industry veteran Brandon T. Jones as its new Chief Information Officer.

Jones has been on the forefront of Information Assurance/Cybersecurity at distinguished companies and public agencies such as Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Public Sector LLP. Jones brings 17 years of experience to WAEPA, having worked in both the DoD and Commercial Information Technology (IT) Communities. His strategic abilities, and experience as a former Federal Civilian employee himself, will be instrumental in his role.

“Our organization underwent an expansive search for a dynamic leader in the IT industry. We are incredibly excited to welcome Brandon during this pivotal time in WAEPA’s history,” said Shane Canfield, Chief Executive Officer.

Jones started his role at WAEPA’s headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia in early June, tasked with providing vision and leadership for developing secure IT systems that align with the organization’s mission. “I was honored to be selected for this role and am looking forward to continuing to place security at the forefront of WAEPA’s core operations,” stated Jones. “As a former Federal civilian employee myself, what drew me to WAEPA is their prioritization of both security and customer service. WAEPA truly emphasizes the needs of our members above all else and I’m proud to be part of the team.”
