The offices of Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies (WAEPA), a nonprofit organization that exclusively serves Civilian Federal Employees, announced they will waive premium fees due in January for all of their insured members.

All members’ January premiums will be waived, including those not impacted by the partial shutdown. WAEPA’s Board of Directors unanimously voted to issue this credit.

“After more than 75 years of serving Civilian Federal Employees, WAEPA has worked with our members on occasions like these to ensure they’re taken care of and that their families remain protected,” said Shane Canfield, CEO of WAEPA. “We understand the struggle many Feds are going through during this period, and we stand with them.”

If members have already made a payment, it will be credited on their next bill. Letters are forthcoming that designate the exact amount credited for each member. Those with questions are encouraged to visit the organization’s FAQs page to learn more, or contact WAEPA’s Member Services team Monday through Friday between 8:30 am to 5pm EST.
