WAEPA Announces 10% Premium Refund for 2023

WAEPA has refunded more than $100 million in premiums to members since 1996. 

Falls Church, VA., September 18, 2023: WAEPA (Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies, Inc.) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has approved a premium refund for 2023. 

All qualifying WAEPA members will receive a 10% refund of their annualized premium as of December 31, 2022. Checks will be mailed no later than Wednesday, September 27, 2023.  

WAEPA, founded in 1943 to provide life insurance coverage to Civilian Federal Employees, is especially proud to mark its 80th anniversary by giving back to its members.  

“During times of economic uncertainty, the Federal workforce continues to serve our country—at WAEPA, we’re honored to serve them,” said M. Shane Canfield, CEO of WAEPA. “One way we can do so is by giving back to our membership.” 

While premium refunds are not guaranteed, WAEPA has awarded a refund to members in 27 of the last 28 years.
