Emily Su WAEPA Board Member

Emily Su serves as a Member of the Governance Committee and the Products and Services Committee. She has served on the Board since 2021.

Emily is the Assistant General Counsel for Enforcement at the U.S. Department of Energy, where she and her team promote and enforce compliance with water and energy conservation standards. Previously, Emily served as Director of Civil Rights for four agencies at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Chief Counsel for Litigation and Enforcement at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and, before that, Assistant Chief Counsel for Civil Enforcement at the Transportation Security Administration. Emily is recognized across agencies for wielding business and operational acumen to lead process improvements across multiple organizations and has been recognized as the Federal Bar Association’s national Transportation Security Attorney of the Year.

Emily attended Pomona College, where she graduated as a Distinctive Scholar in Comparative Literature, and Duke University School of Law, where she earned a joint J.D. and LL.M. in International Law.
