M. Shane Canfield, CEO of Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies was featured on the May 17 episode of FEDtalk, covering the long term planning and supplemental insurance options available to federal employees.

FEDtalk is a live radio talk show produced by Shaw Bransford & Roth P.C., a federal employment law firm. Canfield joined the episode alongside Joan Melanson, the director of Education and Outreach for the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) at Long Term Care Partners, and host Debra Roth to discuss the many insurance options available exclusively to Federal employees, and the benefits that go along with them.

“People look at WAEPA as a supplement or replacement to FEGLI coverage,” Canfield said on the show. “Many Feds who have switched to our coverage, however, have saved tremendously. The average member who switched last year saved about $375.”
